Janny Leung has been named the next dean of the faculty of liberal arts at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her five-year term will begin on July 1, 2022. Dr. Leung is currently head of the school of English and a professor of linguistics at the University of Hong Kong. She was previously the associate dean of teaching and learning in the faculty of arts at the same institution. Dr. Leung holds a PhD in psycholinguistics from the University of Cambridge, a bachelor of laws from the University of London and a master of laws from Yale Law School.
