Child and Youth Studies - Assistant Professor

The Department of Child and Youth Studies at Trent University Durham GTA invites applications for a one-year full-time limited term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment commences August 1st, 2024. There will be an expectation to teach during the summer term in addition to teaching in the regular academic sessions.
Please note that this position is subject to budgetary approval.
Priority will be given to applicants who have completed a PhD degree in Child and Youth Studies or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses in Child and Youth Studies, specifically in domestic and global children’s rights, and courses relating to immigration and refugee Canadian processes with a focus on children.
