Rochelle knows how to make your academic life easier. She tells you which software is worth investing in.

Welcome to BiblioTech – the podcast about emerging technologies for academics. Your host is Rochelle Mazar, an Emerging Technologies Librarian at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

Every month you can listen in as Rochelle talks about what’s new in technology and what academics should be paying attention to. It’s hard to keep up all of the new software, tools and gadgets. That’s where Rochelle comes in.

Episode 6 – Productivity tools

In this episode, Rochelle tells you which software is essential for academics and which are overrated.

Microsoft Office has become the norm for most academics. Word, PowerPoint, Access – are these the best tools for you to be using? Or have we just gotten so used to these software that we don’t look for other solutions? (Running time: 17:57 mins).

    Hi Rochelle,

I really want to see your video workshop on Prezi but cannot make it open (message indicates it is no longer available) and when I searched the title on livestream it didn’t come up. Can you help? I really need to break away from powerpoint!
