The web version of University Affairs magazine was recently named a finalist in three separate categories in the inaugural Canadian Online Publishing Awards. The awards program, produced by the online trade magazine Masthead, recognizes excellence in online editorial content and innovation by Canadian magazine and website publishers.
University Affairs was competing in the “blue” division for business-to-business, professional association, farm and scholarly websites. The magazine is a finalist in the categories of overall best magazine website, overall best design, and best blog. In the latter category, University Affairs scored two of the three finalist nods, to Léo Charbonneau for his Margin Notes blog and to Carolyn Steele for her Career Sense blog.
According to Masthead, all entries “were reviewed by an independent judging panel of highly regarded industry professionals and experts.”
The winners will be announced Oct. 26. See the gallery of finalists here.
