Kim Brooks Dalhousie University

Dalhousie University welcomed Kim Brooks as its new president and vice-chancellor on Aug. 14. She stepped into the role after serving as acting provost and vice-president, academic. An accomplished tax scholar and lawyer, Dr. Brooks was previously dean of Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law and its faculty of management. Dr. Brooks is both the first woman and first openly queer person to be permanently appointed Dalhousie president.
