Business - Assistant or Associate Professor (Supply Chain Management and Logistics)

The Faculty of Business, University of New Brunswick Saint John, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Supply Chain Management and Logistics (SCM&L) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The position is available to start on November 1, 2025, or a mutually agreed date. The selection committee will begin reviewing applications by August 1, 2025, and continue the process until the position is filled. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

Before the start date, the successful candidate must have earned a terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in Operations Management, Management Science, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a closely related field from an accredited university, preferably by AACSB.

The preferred candidate will be experienced in teaching various subjects related to SCM&L (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Quantitative Methods, etc.) at the undergraduate and/or MBA levels. They will have published – or at least have a significant potential to publish, if they are junior faculty – in internationally recognized Operations and Supply Chain Management journals such as those in the SCM List (www.scmlist.com).

The successful candidate will be expected to actively engage in research and provide subject matter expertise and leadership in Supply Chain Management and Logistics. Experience or interest in maritime logistics and/or global supply chains involving seaports would be a significant asset.

The City of Saint John
As Canada’s oldest incorporated city (1785), Greater Saint John area has a population of about 130,000. Saint John (or Menaqesk as it is known in Peskotomuhkati-Wolastoqey) is a vibrant and diverse inter-modal port city on the Bay of Fundy known for the world's highest tides. Qualifications 

• Candidates must have earned a terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a closely related field from an accredited university, preferably by AACSB.
• Candidates must demonstrate successful teaching experience, commensurate with their level of academic seniority, in relevant areas such as Operations Management, Quantitative Analysis and Project Management.
• Candidates must be committed to working with diverse student populations and in culturally diverse work and educational environments, and to promoting experiential learning.
• The candidate must have published, or have a significant potential to publish, in internationally recognized Supply Chain Management
• Industry experience and/or ability to work effectively with industry partners and community stakeholders would be an asset.
