Job Title: Assistant Professor
Position Status: Three (3) Year Contract Limited Term Appointment, OPSEU Local 685
Department: Department of Finance, Economics and Decision Sciences
Locatiion: Brampton, Ontario
Preferred Start Date: September 1, 2025 or as negotiated
Qualifications, Expectations & Application Process
- Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. (or ABD) in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, or a related field, as well as a demonstrated commitment to teaching and research.
- Expertise in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Global Supply Chain Management.
- Demonstrated relevant academic background, research portfolio, and a record of teaching excellence.
- Experience with remote/online/hybrid instruction is desirable.
- Expectations
- Teach graduate-level courses, including Global Supply Chain Management and related quantitative courses, among others.
- Supervise graduate students in their Major Research Projects (MRP).
- Teach relevant undergraduate courses such as operations management, statistics, and quantitative methods.
- Engage in curriculum development and contribute to the enhancement of the undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Participate in service to the university, such as student mentorship, research advising, and academic committees.
- Other duties and responsibilities as outlined in the OPSEU Local 685 Full-time faculty collective agreement.
