Political Science - Assistant or Associate Professor (Chinese Politics or International Relations in the Contemporary World)

Day-to-day responsibilities
Through your undergraduate and graduate-level teaching, and your research activities, you will contribute to the faculty’s pursuit of excellence. Furthermore, you will promote your discipline and actively participate in the daily activities of a renowned institution. As such, you will:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate students about China's politics or international relations in the contemporary world;
• Supervise graduate students;
• Develop a high-level research program in political science;
• Be involved in the teaching and operations of the Center for Asian Studies (CÉTASE);
• be eligible to hold the CÉRIUM chair in Asian and Indo-Pacific studies;
• Provide service to a diverse department and contribute to the university's outreach through conferences, publications, and scholarly

Qualifications

• Hold a doctorate (Ph.D.) in political science or a related field. Applications from those currently completing their dissertation will also be considered;
• Have an excellent publication record on China in the contemporary world;
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality university teaching in political science
• Have adequate proficiency of the French language or be committed to learning it once hired, through the Université de Montréal’s French language support program, in accordance with the Université de Montréal language policy.
