York University seeks an inspiring and innovative leader to serve as the Assistant Vice President, Global Engagement & Partnerships, York International.

Position Overview
The mission of York International (YI) is to develop and foster international activities, in partnership with Faculties and divisions that enhance international student experience and success, and support teaching, learning, research and engagement throughout the University. This mission is achieved through a broad array of programs and services designed to provide inclusive and sustainable international and inter-cultural experiences for all York University students, scholars, faculty and staff including learning abroad opportunities, internationalization at home, faculty initiatives, research collaborations and partnerships with universities and organizations around the world.

Reporting jointly to the Provost & Vice-President Academic and Vice President, Research & Innovation, and with a dotted line reporting to the President and Vice-Chancellor, the Assistant Vice-President, Global Engagement & Partnerships (AVP-GEP) will lead the development and implementation of the University's Internationalization & Global Engagement strategy, advancing priorities across campuses and divisions. As AVP-GEP, you will provide leadership, oversight, and strategic vision to the Department of York International, and lead the operationalization of the University's Internationalization & Global Engagement Plan.

Recognizing that internationalization touches on all aspects of the mission of the University, you will work closely with all members of PVP (President and Vice Presidents), and in close partnership with other members of the senior leadership team including Advancement and Communications & Public Affairs, Deans, Principals, and the Faculties/Divisions.

This is a high-profile role requiring a strategic leader who can navigate complex international relationships and partnerships.

As the ideal candidate, you are an accomplished leader with several years of senior level management experience in international education, with a focus on global engagement strategies.

You bring expertise in Citizenship & Immigration Canada and Canada Revenue Agency policies and Canadian Immigration Law for compliance with regulations.
