The University of Northern British Columbia invites applications for a two-year term position as a Senior Lab Instructor, with a proposed starting date of July 1, 2025. This position is within the School of Engineering at UNBC (https://www.unbc.ca/engineering). The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of established and junior researchers in engineering, will teach relatively small undergraduate classes, and will enjoy many excellent opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.

The candidate's teaching will focus on engineering design. Teaching responsibilities will include delivering engineering design courses and supervising undergraduate design projects. The successful applicant will support accreditation-related activities, including continuous improvement, of the undergraduate engineering programs as part of their core duties.

Applicants for this position must hold a Masters’ degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering, be licensed to practice Engineering in Canada, and have significant professional experience in Civil and Environmental Engineering in Canada. Teaching experience in engineering design in a post-secondary or adult education setting is also required, as well as accreditation process experience and familiarity with Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) program visits.

Salary
The salary for this position will be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant qualifications and experience as per the UNBC Faculty Association Collective Agreement. The annual salary range for this position is expected to be from $96,940/- to $123,940/-. Please refer to the link below to the Collective Agreement for more compensation information:
