Northlands College is seeking a dynamic, community-focused leader to serve as the Director, Adult Basic Education (ABE) & Continuing Education.

ABOUT NORTHLANDS COLLEGE
Northlands College provides courses and programs in several campuses across northern Saskatchewan. Each campus offers specific programs and courses, with many programs offered in multiple locations.

Northlands College is unique in that it crosses multiple boundaries unlike most other organizations, as we operate in communities whose populations are mostly comprised of people who identify as Métis, Dene or Cree. We are the only educational institution offering post-secondary education that has its administrative offices located in northern Saskatchewan which helps to create employment and, in turn, aids the economy of this region.

At Northlands College we provide high quality education and training programs and services that meet the development and employment needs of Northerners, enhance the social and economic conditions, prepare Northerners to participate in the labour market, and help industry meet its labour force needs.  The College fosters unique experience in delivery methods, learner support, and partnerships.  We acknowledge and empower cultural diversity, and we develop and implement innovative opportunities while responding to changing environments.

THE POSITION
The Director, Adult Basic Education (ABE) & Continuing Education provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of ABE and Continuing Education programming at Northlands College. Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Academics, the Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring that programming is innovative, culturally responsive, and aligned with learner needs, community aspirations, and labour market demands.

This position leads a diverse team of senior coordinators, instructors, and support staff in developing, implementing, and continuously improving educational programming. The Director fosters inclusive, learner-centered environments grounded in Indigenous perspectives and ensures program excellence through evidence-based planning and stakeholder collaboration.

The role also involves enhancing stakeholder engagement, driving enrollment and retention strategies, and strengthening partnerships with Indigenous communities, industry, and other post-secondary institutions.
