Capilano University is named after Chief Joe Capilano (1854–1910), an important leader of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation of the Coast Salish Peoples. With a planned retirement, an exciting  opportunity exists for an innovative leader and change-maker to join Capilano University at a time of immense growth and development, playing an integral role in guiding the institution to reach its 2030 vision. Reporting to the Board of Governors, the President and Vice-Chancellor will serve as the institution’s chief executive officer and will be accountable for providing overall leadership and direction to Capilano University. The President will lead with vision, purpose and strategy, championing the University’s 2030 goals with a focus on community, innovation, health, and wellness, while providing effective operational leadership to the executive, faculty, staff and students.

In accordance with BC’s Pay Transparency Act, the position has an expected base salary range of $250,000 - $282,000 CAD.
