English Literature - Faculty Position

Briercrest College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the broad field of English Literature commencing August 1st, 2026. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic teacher and researcher delivering university-level instruction in a Christian liberal-arts environment. Further, they will contribute to an established English department in Briercrest's engaging intellectual and spiritual environment where the liberal arts, alongside biblical studies, stand at the core of all undergraduate degree programs.
While all applicants will be seriously considered, the English department would welcome applicants with a particular interest in Canadian Literature, Graphic Novels, or Victorian Literature. The successful applicant should have a commitment to the teaching of first-year writing.
Candidates should possess a PhD (although exceptional ABD’s may be considered) and demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service to the church.
