Lakehead University (Orillia Campus) invites applications for one tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology.  The academic rank of the appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidate. The position will commence on August 1, 2025.

We seek a broad-based anthropologist who can contribute to our vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs. A demonstrated track record of community-based research, particularly with Indigenous communities, is preferred. The ability to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, with a commitment to innovative pedagogy and student engagement is required. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of delivery is highly desired. Any specialization within anthropology will be considered. PhD in Anthropology or related discipline is required at the time of appointment.
