The expected pay range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 annually.

This Research Associate (RA) position will be a one-year position at 0.8 FTE, starting in September 2026. It will involve isolation of natural products. Specifically, the work will involve the following:

  • Purification and NMR structural characterization of natural products
  • Familiarity with analytical and organic chemistry
  • Investigation of biosynthetic pathways using bioinformatic, genetic, and chemical techniques

Minimum requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Natural Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry and/or Molecular Biology
  • At least 5 years of postdoctoral experience in natural products research
  • Experience in microbiology
  • Experience in purification and structural characterization of organic molecules using mass spectrometry and NMR
  • A strong publication record
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities; ability to independently execute experiments and to mentor younger scientists
