Toronto Metropolitan University, Queen’s and the University of British Columbia have been named in a class action lawsuit. They are accused of holding anti-semitic events on campus. The $15 million lawsuit stems back to 1998 and was launched by Jewish students and alumni.

In a walk out on Thursday, University of Regina students and faculty voiced their wishes for a ceasefire and an end to the blockade of humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. The demonstrators said they were raising awareness of the need to supply aid to the Gaza strip, which has been a hot spot for the conflict so far.

The University of British Columbia has announced they are hoping to double the amount of students on residence by 2050, up to 35,700. The plan by  Metro Vancouver’s regional planning committee would create four new non-student neighbourhoods to accommodate 16,000 new residents.
