Victor Vigas: Quebec’s discriminatory tuition hike is nothing but a cash grab
Vigas says Premier Legault’s tuition hike for out-of-province students is blatantly discriminatory about generating more money for the universities and keeping them financially stable. He says it will generate approximately $110 million for the French-language schools, leaving the three English-language universities out to dry.

Canadian government cracks down on foreign students admissions
Immigration Minister Marc Miller announced Friday a framework pushing universities and colleges to set a higher standard for services, supports and outcomes for international students. Schools meeting these benchmarks will get priority for processing student visas. Adequate housing will be on of the criteria.
