Northlands College is seeking a visionary, values-driven President and CEO to provide strategic leadership to a dynamic public regional college serving Northern Saskatchewan.

Northlands College delivers programs in Health and Wellness, Trades and Technology, University Studies, and Adult Basic Education, preparing learners to live, work, and succeed in northern communities. Guided by a strong commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, Indigenous engagement, and inclusive learning, the College plays a vital role in workforce development and community prosperity across the North.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Board of Governors, the President and CEO is the College’s senior administrative leader and primary external representative. The President and CEO provides strategic direction, ensures operational excellence, upholds strong governance and accountability, and builds trusted relationships with Indigenous partners, communities, government ministries, industry, and other stakeholders. NOTE: Residency at La Ronge, SK is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of the College’s mission, vision, strategic plan, and annual business plan
  • Provide ethical, accountable leadership and ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee financial stewardship, budgeting, and long-term sustainability
  • Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive executive and senior leadership team
  • Serve as the College’s primary spokesperson and lead government and stakeholder relations
  • Advance Indigenous engagement, reconciliation, and inclusive-based initiatives
  • Support the Board of Governors in governance, planning, and performance evaluation

Qualifications

  • Senior executive leadership experience in post-secondary education, public administration, or a similarly complex organization
  • Demonstrated success in strategic leadership, governance, financial management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working with northern Indigenous communities is a strong asset
  • Strong integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to lead change in a complex environment
