Position Description :
The Department of Sociology announces the opening of a regular faculty position in the sociology of work.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Teach classes in the sociology of work at all three cycles;
  • Conduct research in the sociology of work.

The successful candidate for the position will be hired as a regular professor at Université Laval as of the date of his/her hiring.

Selection Criteria :

  • Doctorate completed by October 23, 2026, in Sociology or in a relevant discipline;
  • Qualifications to teach sociology at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels and to provide teachings in the sociology of work;
  • Teaching experience;
  • Research expertise in the sociology of work;
  • Strong publication record and achievements in research.

The successful candidate will be employed by Université Laval, where undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate teaching activities are conducted in French.

Conditions : Compensation in accordance with the current collective agreement. The start date is June 1, 2027.
